Plainname is operated by damita. Name preferences and comparisons are processed in your browser. A saved shortlist, notes, and any user-entered family surname and reading use browser local storage on this device; clearing the shortlist removes these saved data from this browser. The name-library visit counter uses session storage to change the display order and expires with the browsing session. If you email the operator, your address and message are received through the email provider so the operator can respond; email retention and deletion requests should be discussed directly. The site does not ask for an account and this edition has no analytics, advertising, remote font request, or file upload. Hosting providers may process ordinary request logs when a public deployment exists; the provider and retention period must be confirmed before launch. Last updated: October 22, 2026.
Advertising and consent
No Google advertising is loaded in this edition. If AdSense is added, this policy must be updated to explain Google and third-party cookies, identifiers, personalized advertising choices, and any legally required consent management for the regions served. Non-essential tracking must not load before applicable consent. The actual hosting provider and log retention period remain to be confirmed before public launch.
